Mike McLeod
Owner / A&P / Commercial Helicopter Pilot
In 1995 I joined the United States Marine Corps as a helicopter mechanic. After my first enlistment working on CH-53E Super Stallions, I re-enlisted and became an instructor for helicopter mechanics. After leaving the Marine Corps in 2004 with my Airframe and Powerplant License, I earned my degree in Aviation Maintenance. Since then, I have worked in several aircraft maintenance shops, as a private mechanic, and earned my commercial helicopter pilots license in 2017.
Skye Aviation name and logo - Skye Aviation was founded by Mike McLeod. The McLeod family crest is a highland bull. The McLeod (or MacLeod) Clan comes from the Isle of Skye in North Western Scotland. The crossed wrench and propeller represent what we do as a company.
